My Wedding Pics! and The Wedding Makeup Breakdown.

Phew! Finally..i'm able to post these pics after 6+ months (hits 7 tomorrow! :D) of my wedding! Life has been really busy all these days..and i just wasn't able to concentrate on blogging. There were lots of other things which i needed to pay more attention to.But i spent every other minute day dreaming about what i'm gonna blog next.."wow!i'm gonna blog about this!" "yeah! i'm gonna blog about that!" and etc., etc., I almost built a castle of thoughts in my dream blog land. And even today i would've been adding more bricks to that castle if it wasn't for my sweeter than sweet hubby <3

So,here are my wedding pics which many of you have been waiting for :)

First ,"The bride making ceremony":

This was a very small ceremony we celebrated at home a day before the main wedding ceremony.Deciding to be the makeup artist for your own wedding isn't really one of the best ideas i say.I planned so much about the makeup i'm gonna wear for each ceremony but none of those ideas really made it to my face. But i'm not at all disappointed with the outcome because it's waaaaayyyyy better than the makeup those parlour ladies do!

So,here's the makeup i wore for my first pre-wedding ceremony:

Face & Cheeks
  • Smashbox photofinish primer.
  • MAC pro longwear concealer 'NC 35' to cover up the blemishes.
  • OCC skin airbrush foundation in 'Y3' to correct the undereye circles.(It has THE BEST TEXTURE among all the products i tried for the skin around my eyes).
  • Yaby liquid foundation in 'Honey'
  • Ben nye 'Banana' visage poudre.
  • La femme blush on rouge 'Peach' (Ya..it looks more rose and less peach on my cheeks here.)
  • TKB Trading mica powder in 'Silken gold' to highlight cheek bones.
Eyes:
  • Too faced shadow insurance.
  • Sleek 'Monaco' palette- 'Sunset' on the middle of the lid and 'Moors treasure' in the crease, outer v and inner lid.
  • On browbone i just used the Ben nye Banana visage poudre.
  • MAC 'Smolder' kohl for both upper and lower water line.
  • And for liner i first applied MAC 'Smolder' very close to the lashline, smudged it and topped it with 'Noir' shade from sleek 'Oh so special' palette.I had to do this method because my eyes just don't tolerate the liquid and gel liners which i have.
  • I also applied the same 'Noir shade very closely to the lower lashline and smudged it with 'Moors treasure' from the Sleek 'Monaco' palette.
  • Revlon 'Voluminous' carbon black mascara.
  • Filled the brows lightly with Ben nye 'Black brown' eyeshadow.
Lips:
  • MAC lustre finish lipstick 'Patisserie'.
  • Applied a little Revlon colour burst lipstick 'Crimson' on top.
  • Finally topped it with Avon glossy delight lip juice in 'Sugared fig'.

It looks like i'm scratching my head! no? :P Hehehe..i was actually adjusting my maang tika.

Next ,"The Pre-Wedding Reception at Tirumala":

I cherish every single moment of my wedding celebrations but i just wish there was a better photographer available on the main wedding day atTirumala. We had to arrange everything through a wedding contractor and their photographer was one of the worst i've ever seen.He was sleepy and was getting irritated for no reason at all! He did not act quick and missed many important moments! And he had some cr@#%*y camera! I HATE HIM!

Anywayz..This is the makeup i wore on the Pre-wedding reception:

Face & Cheeks:
  • Smashbox photofinish primer.
  • MAC pro longwear concealer 'NC 35' to cover up the blemishes.
  • OCC skin airbrush foundation in 'Y3' to correct the undereye circles.
  • Yaby liquid foundation in 'Honey'.
  • Ben nye 'Banana' visage poudre.
  • La femme blush on rouge 'Fuchsia'.
  • Contoured my face slightly with La femme 'Brown' eyeshadow.
  • TKB Trading mica powder in 'Silken gold' to highlight cheek bones.
  • TKB trading silica microspheres as a finishing powder to control oil and shine.
Eyes:
  • Too faced shadow insurance.
  • Oriflame dual skin corrector in 'Medium' as a base.
  • Ben nye lumiere grande eyeshadow 'Aztec gold' as an allover lid colour.
  •  La femme eyeshadow 'Brown' all along the crease.I skipped 'outer V' area because  i was quite content with how my eyes were looking with a gold eyelid and slightly defined crease.
  • On browbone i just used the Ben nye Banana visage poudre.
  • Lined both my upper and lower lashline with MAC 'Smolder' kohl and on upper lashline i topped it with 'Noir' eyeshadow from the Sleek 'Oh so special' palette. On lower lashline i applied Ben nye 'Black brown' eyeshadow to complement the gold eyeshadow and my brown eyes.
  • MAC 'Smolder' kohl on both upper and lower waterlines.
  • Filled my brows with Ben nye 'Black brown' eyeshadow.
  • Oriflame lash explosion mascara.
Lips:
  • MAC Amplified creme lipstick 'Girl about town'.
  • Topped it with Eyeko london lips in 'Soho'.

The bottom drape of my lovely golden mustard saree looks really disfigured in this pic! Bad..Bad..Baaaddd angle!

Next,"The Muhurtham":

Actually i had to wear two different sarees on our muhurtham but due to time constraints i continued with the yellow saree itself.

Face & cheeks:
  • Smashbox photofinish primer.
  • MAC pro longwear concealer 'NC 35' to cover up the blemishes.
  • OCC skin airbrush foundation in 'Y3' to correct the undereye circles.
  • Yaby liquid foundation in 'Honey'.
  • Ben nye 'Banana' visage poudre.
  • La femme blush on rouge 'Peach'.(I think this blush has multiple personality disorder! coz the blush which looked rosey on the bride making ceremony day looked more corally on this day! :O hehehe.)
  • Light wash of Ben nye lumiere grande eyeshadow 'Golden apricot' allover the lid.
  •  La femme eyeshadow 'Brown' all along the crease.Again skipped 'outer V'.
  • On browbone i just used the Ben nye Banana visage poudre.
  • Lined both my upper and lower lashline with MAC 'Smolder' kohl and on upper lashline i topped it with 'Noir' eyeshadow from the Sleek 'Oh so special' palette. On lower lashline i applied Ben nye 'Black brown' eyeshadow to complement my brown eyes.
  • MAC 'Smolder' kohl on both upper and lower waterlines.
  • Filled my brows with Ben nye 'Black brown' eyeshadow.
  • Oriflame lash explosion mascara.
Lips:
  • MAC lustre lipstick 'Patisserie'.
  • Topped it with MAC lipglass in 'Red devil'.

Tying the mangalsutra.(On cloud nine!) <3

Sindhoor.I had THE BEST feeling ever!

Playing 'The ring game'.He won! *hmph* and even i won the other time when we were made to play this game at home. Hehehe.. Hisab baraabar! :D

Showing me the 'Arundhati' nakshatram.

Finally.."The Post-Wedding Reception" at my in-law's place:

Here's the makeup breakdown:

Face & Cheeks:
  • Smashbox photofinish primer.
  • MAC pro longwear concealer 'NC 35' to cover up the blemishes.
  • OCC skin airbrush foundation in 'Y3' to correct the undereye circles.
  • Yaby liquid foundation in 'Honey'.
  • Ben nye 'Banana' visage poudre.
  • La femme blush on rouge 'Peach'.(Again showing it's MPD! :O)

  • Ben nye lumiere grande eyeshadow 'Golden apricot' packed allover the lid.
Lips:
  • I first applied Revlon colour burst lipstick 'Crimson' but i wasn't happy with how it looked against my saree so wiped it off. That thing stained like crazy! I wanted a cooler lip colour so i applied maybelline color sensational lipstick in 'Berry beautiful'.Again i wasn't happy with the full on berry looking lips..so,i wiped it off too. After wiping it off i saw that the deep red and berry stains together created the perfect colour i was lookin for! So,to make it look more polished i topped it with Maybelline color sensational lipgloss in 'Hooked on pink'.

Ate both the halwa and the lipgloss! :(

This was the other saree i was supposed to wear on my muhurtham. The saree is a lot darker and also has a purplish cast(see the last pic).

Together forever <3

This was what the saree and the lip colour looked like in real life.

NOTE: I had to use regular makeup items(whic aren't really Green and Clean) for my wedding.I didn't had any green and clean makeup items with me at that time and it would've been impossible for me to find and replace each makeup item that i used.Istill have tons of regular makeup with me and i will not throw it away in a trash can and call my self Green and Clean! One thing is for sure that i'm not gonna buy any new items from the regular makeup brands unless they satisfy most my Green and Clean requirements. So, i will keep using whatever is left with me wherever required.

Hope you all enjoyed the pics. And from now i'll post as regularly as possible (psst..Lots of products reviews are on their way!)

Love,
Siri.

  22. Can I just say I LOVE your makeup, especially in the last set of pics. I seriously want to run out and buy all the products now. I like how you went for a naturally gorgeous look, nothing too obvious or overdone, yet glamorous. It takes a lot of restraint, skill and care I think to produce that look. It is so easy to go overboard with makeup. You have a good eye for color.

  23. Each one of us is beautiful. It’s the way we choose to define our beauty that makes all the difference. A wreath of dark kohl around the eyes may do the trick for you or just a hint of smoke on the lids. Wedding Makeup
