Well, if this question makes you think, then it’s high time we do our bit.

Enough gyan isn’t it, well no more gyan... Instead, i will just help you contribute that bit with a product which is easy to use and easily available.

I recently visited Indore and saw a unique pot over pot structure. That aroused my curiosity and when I enquired from my aunt and other neighbors I got to know a very unique, eco-friendly, and environment friendly thing.

It’s called compost pots (also called compost khamba). Yes these are a set of three cans which anyone can use, irrespective of space.

The compost posts gives you freedom and ease to make your own compost right in your backyard or terrace which your plants will happily consume.

What are they made of?

They are available in wooden as well as terracotta.

How to place them?

Well, we just need to provide our new friend, I mean the compost pots a right place to settle and be placed.

What is needed for placement?

Ideally we need a flat surface be it on terrace, or balcony, or garden. Just keep it out of reach from small kids.

Steps involved in composting:

1. Segregate
2. Preparation

3. Add waste
4. Maintain and repeat
5. Check compost

One can create it on their own or even buy it from a local shop and it’s even available online on amazon.in and other sites.

My compost pots journey:

Recently after knowing a lot about it, I started my own organic compost for my small vegetable garden. I reduced my garbage throwing and instead collected it to create my own compost which is a treat for my soil in vegetable garden and environment too.

How much compost does it make?

If we see in a family of 4 persons we create almost a 1 kg of garbage daily, and so it’s the best solution to create compost easily. Vegetable peels (this forms the major filler for compost), fruits peels, seeds etc, some old leftovers, etc. you won’t believe we can easily convert Kitchen & Organic Waste to compost in just a time of 4-6 Weeks.

Added advantage:

These Terracotta Composters are handmade by our own Indian Potters, when I came to know of this it added to my happiness as I respect the local handicraft and artisans a lot. It contains No Plastic or any Toxic Elements. For a person like me who is always looking for environment friendly options, sustainable development, and saving nature this is a boon.

Composting has three main ingredients:

1. Browns as in dead dry leaves, branches, twigs etc.

2. Greens as in vegetable or fruit scrapings, vegetable waste, and leafy clippings etc.

3. Water I even use the vegetable washed water in it.

This simple technique will also give you immense pleasure and you can love your planet and help it grow in its natural way.

Why Compost pot?

For our healthy breathable atmosphere and living conditions it’s high time we switch to such practices.

For future generations we must use natural products which are safe from dangerous chemicals.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink along with Refuse is the new generation mantra. I religiously follow the 5 R’s and promote them as much as I can.

By composting, we also helps the soil to stay enriched, as we are producing beneficial bacteria and excellent fertilizer in our own mini pot. This has given me satisfaction of moving towards greener, healthier and environmental friendly future for our coming generations.

Top 4 Unique Picks at Mysore-In-A-Market, 2019

This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit Mysore for a short trip, during which I visited this crazy flea, Mysore-in-a-Market. Bangalore is so overdone with fleas that sometimes all of them look and feel the same and almost all brands that we come across are similar. Therefore, this market was something fresh and in the short while I went around, below are some of my favourite picks:

Most people I know either live away from their parents or don't have the time to make some delicious mouth watering pickles at home. It's sort of a lost art in a way!

But like all Punjabis around the world, you can keep a Punjabi away from home but you cannot keep the Punjab in them away. These crazy Punjabi pickles were to die for! Home made Hibiscus Face mask Recipe. WITH PROOF! You will glow like a 1000 Watt Rose Bulb!

In this whole wide world, who wouldn't have dreamt of Glowing like a 1000 Watt Bulb? Here's the BEST EVER FACE MASK RECIPE for that 1000 Watt "Rose" Bulb Glow.

Ingredients:

1 Native Indian Hibiscus flower. Hybrid ones don't work because they do not contain the slime that our Native Country Hibiscus flowers do. That Slime is the Hero here!
1 or 2 Ripe Strawberries depending on the size.
2 tbpn Brown/Demerara Sugar. You can use the regular white sugar too.
1 tbspn Besan/Chikpea or Rice flour.

First, pound the Hibiscus flower, Strawberry and Sugar in to a paste. Try to make it as smooth as you can. It will naturally be a little chunky. Don't worry.

Since i can't do such a straining job with my right hand, (No no...i'm not lazy but i've got MS so...) Sweet hubs did it for me. :)

Our paste is ready now.

Now, put the Besan or Rice flour in to the paste and mix. This step is mandatory. Because, the thin juicy paste won't hold up on it's own. So, this flour is like our binding agent.

This is what our Final emulsion should look like.

That's it! Apply! and, leave it on for atleast 20 minutes.

Hubs couldn't resist either! :D

Here's my 1000 watt Glowing face with all the imperfections intact. :) Zero edits done and Zero Make-up worn!

So, get ready to scout for the Native Indian Hibiscus flowers and make 'glow'ry while the strawberry season lasts. If you can't find strawberries then, just add another Hibiscus flower instead. You can add a few drops of lemon juice in the place of strawberries.

This is a 350 ml shaker and i made around 250 ml smoothie with Hot milk and jaggery to taste. I felt that 200 ml to 300 ml would be the right range depending on your taste. For me, 225 ml was perfectly balanced.

This is why i call it a Boon/GOD for Chronic patients and Bed-ridden ones. And also people who go on Adventure treks where they don't get to bath for many days can also carry this God product with them. It's a Boon for Anyone who does full-on physical activities and also to those who can Do None.

Warning: Do not apply on Genitals. You can apply Around them but Never 'On' them.

You need very little product. About a Pea size. So, this jar will last you a very long time. At least six months for sure.

*After application, You have to massage it in for about 2-3 seconds for it to get absorbed completely.

It's scent is pleasant Sweet Mint and Lemon which is not too strong. Sensitive noses may handle it with ease. The mild fragrance stays for a long time.

Though it looks like a flashy white thick cream, it doesn't give a white cast or stain clothes. Look at the pictures below:

When i first saw that this product has Raw Mango, Paprika and Mint as it's Ingredients, i was intrigued because, that resembled a pickle recipe. Being an Andhrite, i have devoured my fair share of spiciest pickles all my life and not to forget the humongous amounts of chillies. But, after Multiple sclerosis, my tounge's ability to handle chillies did not waver a bit but, my skin's ability to handle some products did waver to a large extent.

So, when i first applied this Natural Seer Secrets Lip plumper, my sensitive lips couldn't handle the Burning sensation even for a few seconds. It felt like a pinch of chilli powder has been applied to my lips. But, i did not want to give up. So, one day i thought why not apply a thin layer of normal lip balm and then apply this on top. I did it and it solved my woes of burning sensation up to 90%. I wanted to see if other people felt the same too and gave it to my friends and family. None of them felt the burning to the extent that i did. They only felt a mildest burn that they could not even feel until i asked them. So, only people with sensitive skin need to be a little careful.

And as for the plumping part, Yes, it Works. Now don't Imagine Kim Kardashian or our own Anushka Sharma's Injected 'Pillow'y/'Plastic'y Lips. Regular use does mildly plump up your lips and it smoothens out lip lines naturally. It gives a faint Rosy-brown tint to the lips which isn't really noticeable.

Seer Secrets Rambutan, Dates and Liquorice Lip Scrub Review. A Gourmet Lip Treat!

I was never a Lip scrub person. I avoided them like plague. Especially the Sugar based ones. I thought why should i waste 300/- or 400/- INR on them when i can just use the sugar at my home.

But but but, this little tubby of Seer Secrets Rambutan, Dates and Liquorice Lip Scrub just blew my mind out of proportions! My lips are the colour of Dead Grey-Mauve. I almost look like a corpse if don't put at least a tinted lip balm on. But, as i used this product, they started getting Rosier by the day! My 13 year old bestie asked me with a startle: "Siri! Why are your lips looking so Pink!" Credit goes to the potent Licorice and Raw cane sugar i guess.

The sugar granules in this lip scrub resemble the tiny super fine 'Caster sugar' granules. Hence don't hurt while scrubbing. You need a very small amount each time so, 8 grams is going to last you pretty long. And you don't have to run for a lip balm after scrubbing because, it leaves the lips super hydrated and satin smooth.

And last but not least, The Taste! It is super duper tasty! It tastes like Fruity sweet Rambutan and Tangy-zingy liquorice with a hint of warm dates. Hence, I never wash it off. I just Lick it off. Gourmet at it's best. Yummmm!

Do i Recommend?

Seer Secrets Sabdariffa Tisane Herbal Tea Review. An Excellent Floral Source of Vitamin C!

Then you will definitely like this Sabdariffa Tisane Herbal Tea from Seer Secrets Like i Did!

Let's see why i said that.

*Sabdariffa is also referred to as 'Roselle'.

It is encased in a sturdy glass bottle.

That 'Indian Native Hibiscus' and 'Mint' are from my Backyard.

The opening is covered with a thick absorbent paper which acts as a barrier to moisture and thereby prevents spoilage.

Review:
Sabdariffa/Roselle tea, also called as Sour tea is an excellent floral source of vitamin C. It also has multitude of other nourishing ingredients(see 'about the product' pic). It brews a vivid gem stone red tea which is a treat for the eyes. You can use 1 bud if you like it light and two if you like it strong like me.

They say it tastes like cranberries. But, i say: Doesn't matter if you are a fan of cranberries or not, you will definitely fall in love with this one. I hate cranberries but i fell in love with it right from the 3rd sip. 3rd Because the first and second tasted really sharp and sour. But from the third, a Burst of Flavour hit me and it was way too yummily sour and was a treat for the tongue. And, i did not add any kind of sweetener to it.

You can also get a little lighter but just as yummy second brew out of the first used buds. I brewed this 2nd batch in the pic below that day in the evening after my strong first batch in the morning.

Do i Recommend?
Recently Cipla released "Activkids Immuno boosters" which is a chocolate flavoured daily supplement of immune boosters for kids. I am pretty sure they will cook up something like this for Adults too. But, all of us should be conscious that supplementing body with natural nourishing foods is always the best choice unless otherwise required. So, i recommend including foods like this Seer secrets Sabdariffa Tisane Herbal tea to naturally enhance/maintain your health.
