Junglee Movie. Not just a Summer Entertainer! But, a Key Film for our #Keystone Species.

1."Priyanka chopra and Nick jonas are suing the magazine for spreading false rumours telling that Priyanka chopra and Nick jonas are heading towards a Divorce!"
2. "South Indian Elephants are being unsympathetically Poached for their insanely valuable Tusks and are heading towards Extinction!"

Which News bit would you react to in a fraction of seconds?

Mostly, the First one. Right?

Because, everyone is fed up of hearing the Poaching/Endangered/Extinction News about Elephants every now and then. There's nothing new about it until the News says "The Last South Indian Elephant Breathed it's Last Today." That shall sure stir up many hearts but, until then, a Popular Product Discontinued by M.A.C or iPhone does that. Until then, we fail to notice what a Great Gift we are going to LOSE FOREVER!

Down in the picture is the last Male Northern White Rhino "Sudan" who passed away in March 19th 2018. That sub-species is Entirely Extinct now because there are only two Female Northern White Rhinos left in this world and without a Male, they anyways can't take the species forward.

Let's jump in to the subject now. Junglee Movie starring Vidyut jammwal as the main lead was released on 29 march 2019. and i went to watch this movie with my family and my 14 yr old bestie Riya.

If you are expecting the usual plot reveal and discuss what went bad and who performed well/yuck then, you are in for a disappointment.

The purpose of this post is to tell you all to not watch this movie like a summer entertainer. Nah...watch this not for Fun and Entertainment but, for Life.

Yes, Watch it For Life. Now, why am i saying that?

When we look at an Ad saying "Save the Majestic Elephant", we feel Sympathy and sign up some petition in few seconds and then think that we've done a great deed. Because, Who has "Time" to do/think about anything greater than that. Most of us are always focused towards personal growth, accumulations and security that we tend to forget that there exists an Eco-system that is as fragile as a House of Cards. If one key card is gone, the whole house gets disrupted.

And just that way, if one key species disappears not because nature intended to erase it from the face of earth but because of Human Greed, the whole planet will have to bear the brunt. And, Elephants, the Pachyderms are called the "Keystone Species". You can read the reasons behind calling them that HERE. Be Amazed after finishing! Please read that first before proceeding further. Finished? So, imagine what could happen when a Key species goes Extinct or even if their number reduces drastically!

To put it in simpe words: If They are gone, Gradually, Everyone are gone.

In South India, Elephants are a part of every major devotional/spiritual celebration. Not as a tourist attraction but, for a reason beyond Human Entertainment. Ages ago, they recognized what an important role they play in Spirituality and also the role they play in keeping all Life around them Alive.

Down in the picture: A Temple Elephant blessing a little girl in South India. This reminds me of how i used to not leave the temple when i was a kid unless my dad takes me to the elephant and gets me his blessings. :)

We all definitely find this 'Baby Elephant chasing Birds' video super cute. I agree. But,

Let us just not stop at awwwww..... Guess what 7.7 Billion people can do to Save 1 Million Elephants on our planet. If at least half of this Human population can take a little time out from their Personal Schedules, Miracles are just an act away. I alone can not act or suggest you in which way you should act but, We All Together CAN! Let's not Let our South Indian Elephants who are on the "Endangered Red List", meet Sudan's fate.

And, show your kids this movie. Make the Empathy raise in their hearts for our elephants. For, they are the Future.

Elephants are NOT A PIECE OF ENTERTAINMENT OR A PIECE OF PRECIOUS JEWELLERY, They are LIFE. Jai Gajraj!

Mysuru Brew Kombucha by Depth 'n Green | Good to Know Facts

As you all know I was in Mysore about two weeks ago and while I roamed around exploring the city, in the hot summer heat, I landed up in this small joint Depth 'n' Green, in one of the most sort after areas of Mysore, Gokulam.

I like a place for its character, a place where the owners love what they do and that's when I met Pushpir, a trained chef from America roaming around like a busy bee talking on the phone, but what caught my attention the most was the genuine smile on his face.

This small eatery had so much life around it and the ambience so positive that you would like to sit down and get lost in your thoughts surrounded by smiling faces and some delicious vegetarian food.

I started talking to Pushpir, also excited as we share our mother tongue, and he reminded me of all the good folks back home (Punjab) and how seriously we Punjabis take our food. The next thing I know, we had been chatting for about 30 minutes and it was time for me to leave.

But in between conversations and learning about his eventful past, I had a chance to get myself a Kombucha, this fermented tea, pungent smelling when you take that first sip, but it had something about it that I had to share it with all of you.

Before I tell you more about the Kombucha, I highly recommend Depth 'n' Green, if you are from Mysore or visiting. I can't wait to visit again and try out the oh so appetising food.

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is fermented black or green tea which is naturally effervescent and a tad bit alcoholic due to the bacteria and yeast used in the preparation to make this funny smelling, yet a must have drink!

What are the ingredients of Kombucha?

Main ingredients used to make Kombucha are: Green or Black Tea, Sugar, Bacteria and Yeast.

Benefits of Drinking Kombucha?

This drink is high in Probiotics (good bacteria) and thus great for a healthy gut.
Kombucha is a good source of Vitamin B which further helps with metabolism and increased energy levels
The drink is definitely hydrating and makes for a great natural drink for summer.
When made with green tea it is also a source of anti oxidants.
It relieves inflammation and helps reduce hypertension and stress.
To top it all, Mysuru Brew Kombucha is also Vegan.

So yes, it is an acquired taste as I mentioned to Pushpir, but it sure is something you should try. The lingering taste kinda of gets you hooked and so do the immediate after effects. For me it was the best thing I had all day in the soaring Mysore heat.

The Thirst for Best and Worst of 2018.

2018 is coming to an End and I am very Excited about the New Beginnings with 2019!(will announce it soon) Yayyy! Now, who doesn't get excited with the 'Best' and 'Worst' lists and conclusions!? Best and Worst Movie of 2018, Best and Worst Gadgets of 2018, Best and Worst Cars of 2018, Best and Worst Diets of 2018, Best and Worst Smartphone Trends of 2018, Everything Best and Worst of 2018...... But wait, You were Expecting a "Best and Worst Natural Beauty and Lifestyle products of India 2018 Round-up" from Me Right? Infact, that is what anyone would expect that from any Beauty Blogger. But, i decided to Swim Against the Current! Because, just like that fish in the picture below, A Truth Flashed in my mind.

First, i thought i will do a Best and Worst of 2018 breakdown but, later when i was about to list them all, a Question Flashed in my head: Is there ever an 'Absolute' for Best? Can that Thirst for 'The Best' ever be Quenched? Nah...Not really. The WAR will Forever be ON! For example: Some people Love Eggnog whereas some people Loathe it(i am one of them). Some people Love Ranveer Singh(i am one of them) and some people Loathe him! So, It's always "To Each His Own". Agree?

I am not telling this Randomly but by my Experience. Because, all these products were 'Best' for me in one climatic/water condition but when i used them in other climatic/water conditions, they weren't really 'The Best' ones. And sometimes, a product dearly loved by my friend or family member was an Absolute nightmare for me! Every one of you might have gone through similar experiences. Right? So, i decided to provide a link to all the products that i Loved at one point or the other and Let YOU DECIDE what could be THE BEST for YOU according to your preference and the conditions you live in. And, since this post has a political vibe to it, let me make it clear that i am not against any blogger who chooses to do the Best and Worst listings. This was just My Personal Choice. Pro Nature Organic Atta Vermicelli Review. A 'Health'ified and 'Taste'ified Staple.

Vermicelli, Semiya, Shavige, Sevai, Sawine …..and whatever infinite names it is called by, is one of the staple food products that almost every Indian kitchen possesses. While ‘Upma’ is made almost thrice a week in South Indian homes, Kheer/Payasam is made on 80% of the festive occasions. Vermicelli that we get in India is usually made out of Maida. But recently, Pro Nature has introduced organic wheat vermicelli in to the Indian market. So let’s see if the Pro Nature Organic Atta Vermicelli can beat the reputation of the classic Maida/Refined flour vermicelli.

Review:

1.Texture:

Before receiving this Pro Nature Organic Atta Vermicelli, i kept on thinking that the strands are going to be super thick since it is made out of wheat, It is going to be super duper difficult to roast and then to cook. But, but but but but but.....it proved me wrong in every way! The strands were super thin, got roasted quickly and It’s super easy to cook! And they did not become pasty like the maida ones and did hold their shape really well even after i forgot to check on it and left it a little longer on the stove.

2.Taste:

Usually, to me, the Wheat version of any Maida based food product tastes Bleh. But, after i made a dish out of this Pro Organic Atta Vermicelli and put the first 1/4th spoon(since i was concerned about the taste) in my mouth, it erased all such concerns right that moment. It Tasted Ahhhhhmazzzzzing! Far better than the Maida version! I Loved it to the core! <3

3.Price:

And, another Good News is: At 40/- INR per 180 gm packet, It’s Super Duper Truper Affordable. Never before was Healthy Organic Food So Affordable.

Rating: 5/5. 10/10. 100/100. <3

My Conclusion:

Just run to either a local organic shop that stocks Pro Nature products or Bigbasket.com and get yourself a few packets of this staple and be ready to win the hearts of the people you cook it for over and over and over.......(to the power of Infinity) Again. ;)

2 single serve sachets in a Free shaker. This shaker set's price is 60/- INR. Also, it comes in a 5 sachet carton without a shaker too which costs 150/- INR.

The cap of this shaker is completely spill-proof. So, you need not worry when you shake things up. ;)

This is how the Millet Smoothix powder looks like.

This is a 350 ml shaker and i made around 250 ml smoothie with Hot milk and jaggery to taste. I felt that 200 ml to 300 ml would be the right range depending on your taste. For me, 225 ml was perfectly balanced.

Comes in a plastic jar with a golden cap. The Outer casing containing this jar is made of cardboard.

Ingredients: Don't miss the Real Silver Leaves! <3 and Don't panic with Phenoxyethanol because as per EWG's Skin Deep database, it is a low hazard ingredient. And, Silver has been used to keep bacterial infections at bay in medical sciences for a long time. I remember the 'Silverex' Ointment that was prescribed to my mom when she burnt her hand pretty badly. It is a Safe Biocide.

Super Creamy Texture.

The Seer Secrets Lemon Cypress Japanese Mint Active Silver Ion Deodorant Cream Review:

Being a Chronic MS Patient, i struggle to take a bath every day. Sometimes i Can't bath for 2-3 whole days and as an obvious result, i manage to reach the Peaks of Stink. Since i can't stand and am against Chemical Deodorants, I tried Natural powders, Essential oils and what not! None of them worked beyond one hour. I tried managing by wiping my underarms with a wet towel but to no avail. I was feeling super frustrated and i just couldn't stand this situation anymore.

And just then, Like God appears in Bollywood movies when you are at the peaks of your difficulties, this Natural Deodorant Cream appeared in my life!(Actually Instagram. :P) From then, i am feeling Blessed! Yes, Blessed. Might sound Cinematic but, that is how i can express my gratitude towards this product.

It controls the Body Odor for almost 12+ hours!(with at least one Re-Application). The Underarm Odor was nil till 8 hours for me and after that a faint hint of odor started to seep out. A wet cloth wipe and one more Re-Application gave me another 5-6 hours. Wet cloth wipe is not mandatory.

This is why i call it a Boon/GOD for Chronic patients and Bed-ridden ones. And also people who go on Adventure treks where they don't get to bath for many days can also carry this God product with them. It's a Boon for Anyone who does full-on physical activities and also to those who can Do None.

Warning: Do not apply on Genitals. You can apply Around them but Never 'On' them.

You need very little product. About a Pea size. So, this jar will last you a very long time. At least six months for sure.

*After application, You have to massage it in for about 2-3 seconds for it to get absorbed completely.

It's scent is pleasant Sweet Mint and Lemon which is not too strong. Sensitive noses may handle it with ease. The mild fragrance stays for a long time.

Though it looks like a flashy white thick cream, it doesn't give a white cast or stain clothes. Look at the pictures below:

Freshly Applied.

After 10 mins, 99% of the white cast is gone. (They are my manly fingers. No Wax, No Manicures. Just Raw and Rugged.)

Note:
This Product's Level of Effectiveness depends on many factors like: Level of Natural Body Odor, Level of Physical Activity and Number of days you did not take a bath. But still, i would say it will almost work it's best in Extreme situations too.

When i first saw that this product has Raw Mango, Paprika and Mint as it's Ingredients, i was intrigued because, that resembled a pickle recipe. Being an Andhrite, i have devoured my fair share of spiciest pickles all my life and not to forget the humongous amounts of chillies. But, after Multiple sclerosis, my tounge's ability to handle chillies did not waver a bit but, my skin's ability to handle some products did waver to a large extent.

So, when i first applied this Natural Seer Secrets Lip plumper, my sensitive lips couldn't handle the Burning sensation even for a few seconds. It felt like a pinch of chilli powder has been applied to my lips. But, i did not want to give up. So, one day i thought why not apply a thin layer of normal lip balm and then apply this on top. I did it and it solved my woes of burning sensation up to 90%. I wanted to see if other people felt the same too and gave it to my friends and family. None of them felt the burning to the extent that i did. They only felt a mildest burn that they could not even feel until i asked them. So, only people with sensitive skin need to be a little careful.

And as for the plumping part, Yes, it Works. Now don't Imagine Kim Kardashian or our own Anushka Sharma's Injected 'Pillow'y/'Plastic'y Lips. Regular use does mildly plump up your lips and it smoothens out lip lines naturally. It gives a faint Rosy-brown tint to the lips which isn't really noticeable.

Use it along with the Seer Secrets Rambutan, Dates and Liquorice Lip Scrub for best results.

Seer Secrets Rambutan, Dates and Liquorice Lip Scrub Review. A Gourmet Lip Treat!

Review:

I was never a Lip scrub person. I avoided them like plague. Especially the Sugar based ones. I thought why should i waste 300/- or 400/- INR on them when i can just use the sugar at my home.

But but but, this little tubby of Seer Secrets Rambutan, Dates and Liquorice Lip Scrub just blew my mind out of proportions! My lips are the colour of Dead Grey-Mauve. I almost look like a corpse if don't put at least a tinted lip balm on. But, as i used this product, they started getting Rosier by the day! My 13 year old bestie asked me with a startle: "Siri! Why are your lips looking so Pink!" Credit goes to the potent Licorice and Raw cane sugar i guess.

The sugar granules in this lip scrub resemble the tiny super fine 'Caster sugar' granules. Hence don't hurt while scrubbing. You need a very small amount each time so, 8 grams is going to last you pretty long. And you don't have to run for a lip balm after scrubbing because, it leaves the lips super hydrated and satin smooth.

And last but not least, The Taste! It is super duper tasty! It tastes like Fruity sweet Rambutan and Tangy-zingy liquorice with a hint of warm dates. Hence, I never wash it off. I just Lick it off. Gourmet at it's best. Yummmm!
